Working Together, We Get the Job Done

I just read a terrific post on MomLogic, titled Mom in Hot Water that talks about the importance of supporting one another and the addage that it “takes a villiage to raise a child,” in which the author, Meanest Mom, adds, “let’s not be nasty villagers.” So true.

I had to share as it kind of ties in with my post on What It Means to Be a Woman. It’s a tough job being a woman, and a tougher job still being a mother – it saddens me when rather than showing support for one another, we stand at arms length’s criticizing lives I’m sure we know little about, but I’m also sure we should respect fully.

We don’t have to be alone in parenting – self made islands in a ready made and waiting village – remember, we draw our own battle lines.
