The second book was BETTER and really surprised me in a lot of ways. I haven't read the Host yet, but plan to. I read the Eyre Affair, but haven't read any more of Jasper Fforde's books yet. That first one was definitely "different," and while I enjoyed it, I wasn't pulled right in. I have Twilight on my bookshelf, but haven't dived into that series yet (I'm sure that once I do, I'll have to read straight through them). Have you read The Host by the same author? Awesome book!
