Jen E (momma aka me)
Stay at home momma to a 7 yr old son & a 3 year old daughter. I'm a book-a-holic who also enjoys baked goods (a little too much), photography, travel & writing.
Daniel (dh, love of my life)
Daddy, McHubby, & engineer. "tall dark & handsome, likes to lean on things." Literally excels at everything, from cooking to woodworking, geekery and fitness - he's My Jack of All Trades!
MM (My Monkey, 7)
My son is a first grader this year and told me recently that he likes first grade better because instead of playing games they learn more things. Clearly my son! When he's not geeking out with schoolwork, he's likely busy with Cub Scouts, riding scooters with his best friend or watching Doctor Who or Phineas and Ferb.
BB (Baby Blueberry, 3)
My daughter is a pretty typical three year old - she is a big girl / little girl / princess / dictator depending on her mood and whether she's had a nap. She loves peanut butter and jelly, juice boxes, Minnie Mouse and Olivia, will climb ANYTHING and knows no fear whatsoever. She is possibly the most beautiful creature I've ever laid eyes on and I'm pretty sure she knows it.

My rating:
4 of 5 stars
This is going to be one of those books that stays with me for a long time. The overall concept of this story is both fantastical and disturbingly plausible - the way any good dystopian kind of story should be. I think the author did a great job of fleshing out her story, providing a main character that was both realistic and likeable with plenty of side stories that had less to do with the world potentially ending and more to do with coming of age. This was a book that really sucked me in while I was reading it - I really liked it.
