Okay, seriously guys, where the heck did April go? It was like I blinked and it was gone. I blinked and my son turned 6, my father and MIL came to visit, Easter happened, we bought a bed and a truck, my son lost two teeth, good weather came and went and came and went again and suddenly it’s May. Seriously.
I had a lot of photographic ups and downs this month, a lot of my usual cell phone snap shot cop outs, a lot of cute pictures of the kids and some really pretty artsy shots, too. Here are 5 of my favorites.
My kids on Easter morning done up in their Easter Best Outfits from my MIL. Personality galore was coming out of these photos, for better or worse, just trying to get the two of them to stand still and look pretty. This was the best shot.
Some pretty blooms from Olbrich Gardens, one of my favorite places to go for a nature / photography walk. To think I haven’t even seen these gardens in the height of their blooming and beauty yet. All my pictures thus far have been from October – early April. This month I’m looking forward to seeing how much at all the gardens have changed.
Another picture from Easter, used as filler a week later when I was running low on inspiration. I love this picture of MM, even if he is blinking from the bright sun. Remember when there was bright sun??
I think it’s funny that I took this picture at the arboretum because most of my pictures from the walk, most of the things I saw were either green or brown or that brownish golden color of things dying or wheat. You know, how it usually looks there. But just as we were about to leave, I noticed this little tree at the beginning of the trail with tiny blooms. A few close ups later and you’d think I’d been walking in a field of wildflowers!
This was an accidental shot in a series of pictures of BB and the next door neighbor’s cute little boy. They both liked to run around and bend and move at the worse moments but this shot… it wasn’t on purpose but I kind of love it. It looks like summer.

Great photos! Kids, flowers — all kinds of spring goodness there!
