two for tuesday: keeping cool

front yard: snagging a spot of shade in the front yard to enjoy their new water table while mommy sips a cool drink on the front step.

back yard: goading each other on to run closer and closer to the center of the sprinkler while daddy grills dinner.

oh how i wish we had a yard for sprinkler fun.. i am thinking my son will not know what that is…

MM (My Monkey, 7)
My son is a first grader this year and told me recently that he likes first grade better because instead of playing games they learn more things. Clearly my son! When he's not geeking out with schoolwork, he's likely busy with Cub Scouts, riding scooters with his best friend or watching Doctor Who or Phineas and Ferb.

BB (Baby Blueberry, 3)
My daughter is a pretty typical three year old - she is a big girl / little girl / princess / dictator depending on her mood and whether she's had a nap. She loves peanut butter and jelly, juice boxes, Minnie Mouse and Olivia, will climb ANYTHING and knows no fear whatsoever. She is possibly the most beautiful creature I've ever laid eyes on and I'm pretty sure she knows it.
