What I’m Into Lately

It’s snowing again. This does not please me. Not one bit. I know that Spring is right around the corner, but that fact would be more comforting if my driveway wasn’t covered, once again, with the white fluffy stuff. Not to mention my hallway. Anyway, here’s what’s going on lately in the World of Jen.

What I’m reading:

I’m still working on The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling for my book club this month. I’m about 1/4 of the way through and it’s finally starting to pick up. Now that I mostly remember who all the millions of characters are and have a feel for the story structure, it’s growing on me. Definitely no Harry Potter though, that’s for sure.

TV show worth watching:
We’re finally getting a new episode of New Girl this week and I’m a little giddy, especially because it looks like there might be some new developments in the Nick/Jess ‘ship finally. Anyone else hooked on this show?
Movie I’ve Seen:
The Five Year Engagement

So our latest movie rental was The 5 Year Engagement starring Jason Segel aka Marshall. His movies tend to be hit or miss with us because he’s terrifically funny but also not one to shy away from The Raunch which neither hubby or I are really into. This one was somewhere in the middle for us. Definitely lots of funny with story lines we could relate to, but also definitely pushing the boundaries into Raunch Territory. Watch at your own risk, over all we liked it.

In my ears:
I’m on a Rebecca Loebe kick right now. You could say I’ve been on a Rebecca Loebe kick for about ten years now, since I first saw her perform back in my college days. The more things change, the more they stay the same?
Items of Note:

I am ignoring the snow outside my window today and focusing on the upcoming months. I signed BB up for pre-ballet classes at the Y and both kids up for a week each of summer camp in July. BB will be going to Fairy Tale Camp and MM will be building his own city with his fellow campers. I think both kids are going to have an awesome time and I’m planning to spoil the kid not at camp with one on one Mommy Dates those weeks.

What I’m Looking Forward to:
I’m looking forward to spring flowers and weather warm enough to walk the dog for more than 5 minutes before running back home. I’m also looking forward to family camping trips, visiting Door County this summer and much much more. Basically I’m looking forward to days where “Will it snow?” will not be a question up for debate.

what are you into these days? Let me know in the comments below!
