We’re halfway through the merry month of May and that means it’s time to link up with Anne @ Modern Mrs. Darcy and share some mini twitter style reviews of the books we’ve been reading. Also known as Twitterature.

I’ve read two books since last month and LOVED them both, a stark contrast from last month in which I didn’t manage to finish a single book. Now, granted, two books isn’t exactly cause for a reward or anything but there are worse things than LOVING both of the books you’ve read in the last month so I’m going to call this one a win.

Here’s what I’ve been reading:

eleanor and park by rainbow rowell

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell

Rainbow Rowell should be my best friend, or at least keep writing lots of books because this is the second book of hers that I’ve completely adored to a nearly obsessive degree. I felt anxiety during the day, as though anything might happen to Eleanor or Park before I picked up the book again. Simply put, the characters came alive for me and I adored it.

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L’Engle

I believe I was the last person on the planet to read this but if I’m wrong and you’ve been missing out, too, fix that now! Seriously I instantly fell in love with this series and this family. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Right now I’m reading The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom with my book club and it’s gritty and gripping and sometimes horrifying. I’m looking forward to the discussion on this one.

What have you been reading?

Please forgive my lapse in blogginess. (Im sure you’re used to my slacky self) I am on the wait list still for Eleanor and Park and am currently reading Scarlet #2 of the Lunar series. It’s really good and has become more complex than her first. I’m really enjoying it.

You’re not the last person on the planet, I’ve never read A Wrinkle in Time either! I actually got it from the library last month, but had too many books going, and had to turn it back in unread. I’ll have to put it on hold again!

Loved both of the books you read this month! Eleanor and Park was wonderful. I haven’t read A Wrinkle in Time in ages…but now I’m kinda wanting to get a copy and read it with my daughter. 🙂

I read Gone Girl and Water for Elephants in a matter of days! They were both so good. I like books that jump around time-wise. Love the Twitter reviews too!
