Like every other FOMO Victim on the internet, I stumbled over to 2015bestnine.com the other day to see what the internet has declared my best nine Instagram pictures of 2015. I’m guessing it’s based off the number of comments or likes, so it’s unsurprising that a slew of bookish pictures took over my Top 9 after my month participating in a bookish Instagram challenge. Nothing garners comments like other people hoping for comments.
One of the writing prompts for this week’s Writer’s Workshop, hosted by the delightful Mama Kat, is to share your ten best pictures from Instagram from the past year and I thought this would be a nice opportunity to declare my own #toptwelve that has nothing to do with statistics and everything to do with my own personal preferences. I made a couple of cute collages to showcase my favorites.
Firstly, the top 6 pictures that were not of my children:
Because my children are adorable but I’m sure not everyone wants to spend all day looking at their cuteness. In 2015 I shared pictures of latte art, smore goodness, Ramen noodles way upgraded, a beautiful view out of an airplane window and yes a couple of book pictures worth remembering. Nothing life shattering, but these were my favorites and I think they are way more impressive than that collage at the top of this post.
But what about the kids, you ask? Food photography is fun, but my kids are probably cuter than a bowl of Ramen noodles, right? Well, let’s see!
Here are my six favorite pictures featuring my progeny:
Swim lessons, sidewalk chalk, sparklers, birthday cake and miscellaneous pictures of my daughter being gorgeous. One thing is certain, 2015 was a beautiful year. Here’s to many more.

Great pics. I love photos but I have yet to venture into Instagram. The sparkler and sidewalk chalk pics are great and those noodles look amazing! I need to have that for lunch tomorrow.

It really does look like a beautiful year. My favorite is the hands with sparklers. That turned out amazing.
