I straight up stole this tag from Rachel @ Beach Bookworm – I’m not like a zombie fangirl or anything but reading her post cracked me up and I had to play along. Basically we’re assembling a team of book characters to battle in a zombie apocalypse but in a really random way. Wanna play, too? Here are the rules:

First person to die:
Ron Weasley, Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone

This is tragic but in all fairness he probably didn’t want to be in a zombie apocalypse anyway. Hopefully he’s in a better place.

The first person you trip to escape the zombies:

Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone

I hope it wasn’t on purpose and with any luck, maybe she’ll survive anyway? She is brilliant after all. And to lose Ron and Hermione before we’ve even gotten started? Not cool.

The person that trips you to get away from the zombies:

Eadlyn, The Crown

TBH this doesn’t surprise me at all. She doesn’t really become friendly or compassionate until like the last twelve minutes of the book. If I’m in her way, I’m probably going down.

The first person to turn into a zombie:

Henri, The Crown

Poor kid – he’s such a sweetheart. At least he won’t have to keep getting strung along by Eadlyn anymore. Also – where’s my big weapon thing? Dude’s a zombie now.

The team idiot:

Will, The Upside of Unrequited

If you say so. To be honest Will isn’t a big part of this story despite being the main character’s so-called crush. He seems like a good guy overall.

The brains of the group:

Reid, The Upside of Unrequited

This is only true if Hermione didn’t survive me tripping her. He is pretty smart though and given his other interests, I’m guessing he’s seen enough of the Walking Dead to have some knowledge on how we can survive this.

The team medic:

Liz, Eligible

I’m sure she’d be perfectly willing to help out in this capacity if it’s needed. Especially if Jane or Darcy are hurt. Actually, in this retelling, Darcy is a doctor so maybe she picked up some basic medical training just from hanging around the hospital or something? Or like watching Grey’s Anatomy?

The weapons expert:

Jane, Eligible

Well that’s hysterical. I’m not saying a yoga instructer can’t also be a weapons expert but I’m finding this one hard to believe.

The Brawler:

Reagan, Fangirl

She does strike me as pretty feisty. I think in a pinch that she’d make a good fighter. And, given the rest of the group, perhap the most qualified for the job.

The team leader:

Cath, Fangirl

LMAO. Does the team leader need to be able to like talk to people and stuff? This doesn’t bode well.

My Zombie team is:

11 year old Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, Eadlyn and Henri from The Crown, Will and Reid from The Upside of Unrequited, Liz and Jane from Eligible and Reagan and Cath from Fangirl. Yeah, we’re all going to die.
