The latest video on momversation is about what parent your child takes after, lookswise. Which made me laugh. Hard. Both of my children have blonde hair and blue eyes. If you look at my sidebar, you’ll see that both hubby and I have brown hair and brown eyes. Funny stuff. Yes we both have blue eyed family members and some blondes, too. So it’s understandable. But when people look at our kids, I typically hear, “Wow she looks just like Dan’s sister…” or “the spitting image of cousin…” Sure there are a few similarities to us. Like noses and ears and other things that one doesn’t typically say, “Thanks” for. Gee, maybe she’ll be lucky and get my crooked smile. If he’s lucky, maybe he’ll keep mommy’s chin! Not.
I don’t know. Sometimes I see myself in them. And actually, MM does look a lot like his father these days. AKA So Handsome! But yeah, sometimes I wonder… who are these blonde haired blue eyed children and how did I manage to give birth to them? Will their hair darken over time? MM’s has darkened a bit, but… still blonde. I know, they are young. But I’ll still complain in the meantime that sometimes I wish my children looked more like me.

They sure are cuties. Most of the time, people say that my girls look like hubby. I’m just now getting that Izzy looks like me.
But the red hair? Who knows.

My children are spitting images of Daddy. Seriously, they are his clones. Sometimes people will say, “Oh she looks just like you” until they meet Daddy. You carry them for 9 months and the they don’t’ even look like you. Sheesh! LOL

Everyone tells me Alex is the spitting image of me, but no one’s sure who Zach looks like. Yet people also say Alex and Zach look exactly alike. Not quite sure how that works out! We have no idea where Zach’s blonde hair and blue eyes come from either.

I really don’t know if they look more like me or my husband. I think b/c they all have brown eyes that most people think they look like me since my husband has blue blue eyes. More people say my kids look like my siblings. My husband tells me that my daughter has my personality when she gets all crazy 😉

You know what all three of my daughters are? SKINNY. I have no idea how they are related to me, but lucky them. Actually, I get asked all the time where my youngest got her white-blonde hair, and I have to explain that both hubby and I were blondes as kids.
