It seems impossible that it’s time for another Nightstand post already – didn’t I just write one like last week? But the dates they don’t lie and my last Nightstand post… yup it was on November 24th. Today? December 22nd. Where does the time go?
Last month I was in the middle of reading The Hunger Games, just discovering the whirlwind that is a Suzanne Collins novel. I’ve since read that and the sequel, Catching Fire and have just started reading Odd Mom Out by Jane Porter. This is my first Jane Porter novel but I can already tell it will not be my last. I’ve been eying the rest of her books online, mapping out which ones I want to get my hands on first.
But first, I’ll have a few other good reads to attend to. This is what I anticipate I’ll be reading into the New Year…
- Splendor by Anna Godberson
- Little Children by Tom Perrotta
- The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Ranch Wife by Ree Drummond
- Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell
What’s on your nightstand this month?

I love the Pioneer Woman. The cookbook is good too. 🙂

Ooh, the cover of Splender is just lovely. I like the looks of it at any rate! Haven’t heard of Little Children so I’ll be curious for your thoughts!
Merry Christmas!
