Last night I went back to the salon to finish what I started. Since I’m feeling lazy and guessing you might be, too, I’ll repost the picture of my haircut 1.0 so you can compare.

You’ll remember that I was all super prepared with pictures of the cut I wanted, from several angles, on a couple different models. In typical Jen fashion, I forgot to even print the picture, let alone bring it with me, but after a few minutes flipping through their style books, I eventually found something close. According to my stylist (and I’d agree) this isn’t remotely a pixie cut – it’s longer and has no official name – other than “short ladies’ cut” – so if you want my cut, there you go.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the cut this morning with no styling products. My hair typically likes to ignore me completely and this morning, even with a brush, it was “what you see is what you get”:
Now I’ll show you some pictures after I styled it with the Got2b Smoother Operator lustre lotion that I’m currently reviewing as part of a BzzCampaign on BzzAgent.com. I’ve tried the lotion a couple times on my longer hair and liked that it smoothed my hair out a bit, aka less frizz, but still felt soft and not product-y or stiff. I had the same experience with my short do’ and was even able to tame it into submission a bit – and get bangs, which I’ve never really had before.
It’s been several hours now since that photo shoot and my bangs are still present and accounted for – another score for the Got2b Smooth Operator lotion. Without it, I’m pretty sure it would still be ignoring me completely, per usual.
So what’s the final verdict? Haha, I’m not sure. In some ways I think the last cut was cuter, but I like this one, too – mostly I’m just thrilled that I did it, you know? Also I’d just like to comment that I really don’t think these pictures do the cut justice at all – it’s much cuter in person.

You look great – you’ve got great bone structure to pull off the ‘do. I bet it’s going to be so nice this summer to wash and go. Glad you did it too and like it!

Super cute! I liked both cuts a lot, but I’m sure the newest one will be easier to manage. You can rock it, Jen! 🙂

Love it! I’m so glad you just went with it. Love the bangs big time! The do is much “edgier” and less mom like as the bob is.

WOW! It looks so cute and soooo cool! And just think, it won’t take any time at all to run your fingers through and make it look all snazzy before the kids demand your attention.
I have wanted to go this short, well, forever, but I lack the courage to do it. Kudos to you for doing it!
And for the record, I dig the bangs. 😀
