All I wanted was one sweet shot of MM giving BB a little kiss on the cheek. I even made Dan get me his Nikon D40 so I’d get a nice, crisp picture. But the camera is so big that I spent a lot of time trying to hold it as far away from myself as possible because the kids were cuddled into me.
And then when they moved away from me, they kept moving. Of course they quickly tired of the game and BB began expressing her lack of interest in being kissed and MM seemed to think a quick peck on the top of her head was giving me sufficient time to grab my shot.
And of course when I put the camera away, they began being adorable and photo worthy again, lingering in sweet moments until I tried to grab the camera again and of course the moment was gone. Of course. I know this is the way of things – that trying to coordinate two small, monkeytastic children to be cute and adorable and hold still at the same time is basically impossible.
So sometimes you have to embrace the outtakes and just be glad the sweet moment happened even if you didn’t get it on camera in all it’s perfectness.

Isn’t that the truth! Kids always have to do things in their own way & @ their own times.

It’s ok; the outtakes tell the story!

I can’t believe how fast they are growing up. BB isn’t really a baby anymore, she is turning into a proper little girl. Lovely.

Awww…those are adorable. At least you got to witness the moment and have some proof to show them when they’re older and at each other that they used to hug & love each other.
