Last week my husband went out of town for a whole week ::sobs in hanky:: To keep him in the loop on all of the crazy, fascinating things we did while he was gone, I sent him nightly emails chronicling our days. Here’s my email from last Wednesday:
TO: HUBBY
FROM: WIFELY
SUBJECT: WEDNESDAY WITHOUT YOU
So this morning the kids had cheerios, raisins and yogurt. The yogurt, in my humble opinion, smelled like butt. Very ripe, nauseating butt. [MM] ate it anyway. [BB] wouldn’t even try it but thought it was hysterical that I kept offering it to her. I never want to open the container again. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to smell? You can tell me when you get home.
She loved the raisins though, luckily. [MM] complained to everyone who would listen that I only let him have raisins with his cheerios and yogurt and not grapes but hopefully he forgave me when I packed grapes for our lunch play date at [our super awesome friends’ house].
The kids had a good time, I guess. [Friend A] threw a rock at [MM’s] head. I’m not even kidding. [Their mommy] and I talked about how weird boys are – how sometimes it’s amazing that these kids beg to get together and hang out when they seem to be constantly beating each other up and yelling at each other and crying. Girls may get all nasty and talk behind your back but we don’t throw rocks at each other.
[MM] is continuing to be frighteningly gifted in the art of maze solving. Like I think we might have a maze savant on our hands. It’s a little weird, but he loves it. He also spent some time making rockets with his blocks and [BB] spent some time staring at him wistfully, wishing I’d let her out of her high chair already so she could play, too.

In other news, the diaper liners finally came in the mail which means that I won’t have to keep rinsing all the poopy diapers (there seem to be so many of them) in the toilet anymore. At least not ALL of them. Yay! And I think you know about everything else. :O) We miss you like crazy.
Love,
Wifely
ps: It will be our anniversary in 1.5 hours from now – or half an hour where you are!
