Obsessing over: MIL’s amazing rum cake recipe. We made a couple last night and OMG so delicious. I know we could make this year round, but having it at the holidays makes it more special. So that’s what we do.
Feeling: a little cold. And it’s actually warmer today than it’s been for a while, but this time of year I am just cold, cold, cold and typically it can’t be helped. My body wasn’t made for these days.
Working on: making bracelets! I am kind of in seventh heaven with my new beading hobby and I was really proud of my latest results (this picture doesn’t do it justice, I snapped it with my cell phone at like 9:30 so bad lighting and sub par camera. I’ll take better pictures later.
Thinking about: all the miscallaneous things I need to get done today / this week. It’s my last week of my photography class which is bittersweet. I’m hoping the last two classes go well and that I’ll feel I’ve gotten my money’s worth.
Reading: Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. It’s the sequel to Good in Bed which I just adored and I’m looking forward to digging into this one. It’s a chick lit kinda month here – Something Borrowed I finished over the weekend and really enjoyed reading so I decided to keep the momentum going and pick a book from the same genre. Next I’ll be re-reading One for the Money with my book club before going to see the movie!!
Anticipating: the holidays!! I am a wee bit impatient this year and trying to fill my days with as much holiday cheer as I can while I wait for the Big Day. Today is gingerbread men – I got some kits from Trader Joe’s that we’ll put together this afternoon when MM gets home from school.
Listening to: Jake and the Neverland Pirates coming from the toy room.
Drinking: I just finished a chai latte from the coffee shop, purchased after my morning walk. Kind of defeats the purpose calorie wise but I was glad for the warm drink.
Wishing: I could spend all the money I wanted some days… There are so many little things I’d like to get and some bigger ones, too. It’s hard sometimes being patient and responsible.

Seems like your class went fast! Maybe because you had several days during the week. Hope you got your moneys worth!
I hear ya on wanting to spend whatever you want. I got a nice little Christmas bonus but it still doesn’t feel like it’s a enough..gah!
PS I think Pinterest and I are getting married, Im sure the hubby and kids won’t mind. 😉

I am Loving that bracelot! Great job! I used to love doing fun things w/ the kids this time of year. Now it’s just the princess & I doing fun things. Oh well. We’re throwing a Christmas party for her & 8 of her besties so all’s well.
