“The President has only 190 million bosses. The Vice President has 190 million and one.” – Hubert H. Humphrey
Close, but no cigar. The people trust you. They believe you. They even admire you. They’re just not sure that you’re experienced enough for the hotseat.
Decisions involving foreign policy often require a cool-head to make the necessary calls. The American public’s not sure you have the judgment to pull this off… but they’re willing to let you sit in the backseat. Vice-Presidency doesn’t demand an immediate need for quick decision making and leadership ability, but the public sure expects you to use your spare time to perfect this weakness. Remember, if the head honcho conks it, you have to be ready to take the wheel.

I have to say, I think this is pretty accurate. When I worked for my college newspaper I held a similar postion, Managing Editor and briefly was Editor-in-Chief which would be kind of the equivalent of President and I hated it. I really liked having that one last person to turn to when shiznits hit the fan. I think I’d make an excellent Vice President and I bet I’d be way less annoying more qualified at least as good as Sarah Palin. Hopefully nobody would photoshop my face onto bikini bodies and I’ll promise to figure out what the Bush Doctrine is! McCain, Obama, I’ll be waiting for one of your calls (preferably whoever wins the election).
