Today…
Outside my window: It’s pretty nice out – mid-seventies, blue skies, fluffy clouds. I feel like I write this a lot. At the end of last week we were having crazy rain storms and tornado watches but that ended up cooling down the weather for the weekend and it’s still just… nice. I can deal.
I am hearing: Ellen on tv – MM woke up and it’s our thing now to watch Ellen together… not that I’m paying attention – but you know, I will…
I am thinking: that my doctor’s appointment went well – the scar is healing very nicely, BB was great (I had MM go to work with his daddy so I wouldn’t have to bring both – sweet). My doctor also gave me a referral to see a nutritionist so that I can figure out exactly how many calories I should be eating while nursing and more in depth info, too – I’m actually pretty excited about that. The appointment isn’t until October 12 but in the meantime I’m just going to count how many calories I’m eating on caloriecount.about.com so I can get a feel for what my current meals look like, which meals are keeping me fuller, etc. Getting back into the swing of things…
I am hoping: dinner isn’t too late today – I was starving by the time I ate lunch today, I’d rather eat dinner at a normal hour so I don’t have to do that frantically eating thing again.
I am reading: 10-10-10: A Life Transforming Idea by Suzy Welch – yes still – I’m OVER halfway through now and might conceivably finish it this week…
I am creating: nothing at the moment – just recovering from a fun weekend (my in laws came to visit us and meet the baby – yay!) and catching up on laundry
I am wearing: jeans that are too big and a tank top… that’s also too big actually, not to brag :OP
In the kitchen:
- Monday: Chicken Parmesan
- Tuesday: Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Wednesday: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs & Macaroni & Cheese
- Thursday: grilled cheese and soup
- Friday: BBQ chicken with rice and vegetables
Around the house: I seem to be drowning in laundry and dishes so I’m trying to catch up on that… not much else.
Plans for the week: pretty much just the usual
A few of my favorite things: good times with family, my kids being super cute, my husband being amazing – and my clothes being too big because I’ve lost weight!

The nutritionist sounds good. It will help you feel more in control.
