Last week I asked you guys what you want for Christmas. A few of you asked for things like for your family to be happy (awww) some of you wanted some bling (probably most of us did and didn’t say so). All in all, here’s how it all went down, in pie chart form because my nerdiness still knows no limits:

Riveting, no?
So this week I’m thinking about cell phones and how I wish mine wouldn’t ring when the baby is sleeping (why is it my ringtone volume is always either too quiet to hear or deafeningly loud?) – which is you know, most of the time. Truth be told, I wouldn’t be too upset if it almost never rang. I really only use my phone to call my husband or my dad and make doctors appointments for the kids. Sometimes a friend calls me and says, “Why don’t you ever call?” and I say, “Why change now?” I don’t call.
When I was in high school, I loved talking on the phone. I think it’s like a mandatory thing that teenagers spend all their free time at home talking to their friends on the phone. It costs their parents money and keeps them from having to spend quality time with their families. Then there were the days of talking with your boyfriend late into the night (“…No I love you more, no I love you more. Okay you hang up first, no YOU hang up first…”) But these days, the guy I want to talk to late into the night is generally here and when he’s not, I call him and say, “Come home,” and then I hang up.
Most of my phone calls actually come from telemarketers and wrong numbers. We just got a new cell phone plan and numbers in the area so that doctors and dentists will stop staring at us strangly and saying, “Seriously, is that the AREA CODE?” And apparently whoever had my number last never let anyone know they changed it. How smart are they? Now they don’t have to listen to the phone ring ad nauseam. Probably they only gave the new number to their dad and their wife or husband. And maybe their doctor if they have kids or like their doctor? Remind me to take a page from their book next time…
Anyway before I turn this into a book called Don’t Call Me, I’ll finish this up and move onto my now likely predictable Aloha Friday question:
Do you like to talk on the phone?
Kailani @ An Island Life takes it easy on Fridays by posting a simple question for you to answer – and she invites you to do the same. Just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Ive always never been a phone caller even in high school..I was always given a hard time cause I never called. I’m still the same way now. If you want to talk to me your best bet is the e-mail for long drawn out stuff or there’s facebook. I hate talking on the phone even more now that I’m on the phone all day long. Oh… and I don’t answer the phone either if I don’t recognize the number. The hubs is amazed that I work at a place that requires me to actually answer the phone and I answer it. 🙂

I like talking on the phone, just because my family lives far away, and also I get a lot done while I am on the phone! And it gets me in the real world! 🙂 LOL

I’m not a phone-chatty type. Exceptions are my mom and sister, who I can talk to for hours at a time, every day sometimes. Emailing and texting, I can do all day, but for the most part, talking on the phone is just not my thing.

No, I’m not one to talk on the phone much. If someone calls me I’ll talk, but I rarely call people. I talk to my parents once a week, though since we moved it’s been on Skype so I don’t know if that counts. I talk on the phone to my sister occasionally but we’re both so busy it’s not as often as I’d like. She’s about the only person that I can/will spend an hour on the phone with.

I hate it! Not only do I almost NEVER call people, but I’m also known for not picking up the phone when I’m home. I’m also terrible about calling people back. I just wish the whole world e-mailed!
