Aloha Friday: Bookish

I just hit the last 3rd of one of the books I’m reading, Sweet Life by Mia King, which means that basically every fiber of my being wants to go curl up with it right now and finish reading it as soon as possible, even though that means the book will be over and I won’t be able to enjoy it anymore.

Are you like that with you books? Is there a part in a book where you suddenly have a really hard time putting it down? For me it’s always that last third or the last couple chapters where you can feel resolutions coming to all the plot points and you are just dying to see how everything sorts out.

What are you reading right now?

If you aren’t reading anything, what would you like to be reading?

What book is your current favorite to recommend to friends?

I’m reading, “How to Have a New Kid By Friday” lol. It’s really a great parenting book by Kevin Leman.

Just finished “Summer at Tiffany” a great summer easy read about a couple of college roommates from Iowa who spent a summer working at Tiffany in NY.

Sorry, I don’t read much although if I do they are usually Stephen King books. I’m an old movie buff personally. If I was to recommend a book to someone, a long time ago I read a book called, “Flowers in the Attic”. It was a very good book, and really held my interest.

I think you know where I’m at in the reading department. I’m still waiting on Eat Pray Love. t
I suggest A Tree Grows In Brooklyn and or A Prayer For Owen Meany. Their not light reading but so very good. Their in my top 5 of all time. I’m very tempted to pick them up and read again.

I have only been reading blogs lately. Seems to be the only thing I have time for.

I wish I was reading part 3 of these Nora Roberts books I’m reading. The Wedding quartet series. I read the 1st two, but the third one just came out so I am on a waiting list at my library.

Thanks for stopping by mine 🙂

Right now I am reading the first of the Sookie Stackhouse books. Love Mia King – all of the books I have read of hers have been fabulous.

I’ve never been much of a reader, but I’m going to have to change that if I want our daughter to read.

The book I recommend to friends is The Shack by William P. Young.

I don’t have a book I am reading right now. I don’t seem to find time to read anything other than my google reader & e-mail.

OMG, I’m really behind on this department. I like to read but I’m so busy right now, so don’t have any time for it.

Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend.

    Happy Mother’s Day!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I’m usually like that with about 100 pages to go. The closer I get to the end, the more I want to read!

I just finished the last Seasons of Grace book by Beverly Lewis last night so I’m contemplating what to read next. I have a few on my Spring Reading Thing list to choose from but haven’t decided yet.

If its a good book, i tend to finish it within a matter of days and often stay up way too late to read ‘just one more chapter’. The last book I read was Nonrunner’s Marathon Guide for Women: Get Off Your Butt and on with Your Training by Dawn Dais, it was very funny, yet motivational 🙂

I like a lot of the Nora Roberts trilogies – really good writers are hard for me to put down.
