Today…
Outside my window: it’s another beautiful summer morning with highs predicted to be in the 80’s – so not too hot. It was a brutally hot weekend with a lot of time spent outside, enjoying the weather – and a lot of time spent inside, avoiding the weather! haha a perfect mix!
This weekend we: went to the company picnic. It seems unreal that just last year we were going to our first company picnic, where I was just days away from having the baby who will be turning one on Wednesday! This year’s picnic was just as fun – with classic bbq food – ribs and chicken, watermelon, beans, corn bread and all you can drink root beer on tap. The kids had fun in the bounce house, doing arts and crafts, visiting the petting zoo and the construction vehicles, blowing bubbles and more.

We also: went to a bbq with friends that night for dinner. I made little mini cheesecakes for anyone wondering what dessert I settled on after my Aloha Friday post. The kids spent a lot of time outside playing together and had an absolute blast. A perfect (although exhausting) Saturday.

Right now I’m reading: American on Purpose by Craig Ferguson – really good so far. Does anybody else watch his talk show? Love him.
We’re looking forward to: BB’s birthday on Wednesday! We’ve already started opening some presents – like the gifts I’ll be reviewing at Mommas Review this week (check out the review and giveaway for BlaBla Kids dolls today!) and some presents from Dan’s family which we opened while chatting on Skype this weekend. We plan to open some more presents on Wednesday night and have a little party with some friends on Saturday.

In The Kitchen: I’m still cooking without recipes so nothing is set in stone this week – I’m thinking spaghetti tonight!

One last thing I want to tell you about before I go: yesterday morning we took the kids outside so MM could practice riding his tricycle and BB could crawl around in the grass and do crawling stuff. I got some amazing pictures which I’ll post soon. For now, a teaser:
