Today…
Outside my window: it’s a winter wonderland, with beautiful flurries falling. We’ve had a lot of snow this month, but not very much in the way of accumulation but with at least 7 inches on the way predicted this week, it looks like I’ll have my shoveling work cut out for me this week.
This weekend : we did a little window shopping, looking for storage solutions for the kids toys as what we are doing now isn’t working very well. Unfortunately our wallets are still speaking the loudest, so no choices have been made yet. We’d like to do some more DIY solutions when we get the house, so hopefully I can put up with a few more months of chaos in favor of a better solution in the long run.
We also: continued or semi-weekly tradition yesterday of Dan taking MM to the Y to work on swimming while BB and I get a little mother / daughter shopping time in at a nearby mall. I really enjoy this little set up and MM has purportedly being doing fantastic at swimming and so I am very happy and much less nervous about the swim class he’ll be taking next month (no parents in the water with the kids).
I am reading: Deep Down True by Juliette Fay. I’m nearly finished with it in fact and very likely might finish reading it tonight if I can kick myself to bed early enough. I’m really enjoying this book, well written, very realistic characters and a fun enough plot, with issues I think any of us can relate to at some point.

One last picture to share before I go: I think BB has blogger aspirations. At the very least, she has no desire to listen when mommy says, “No.” Although it probably sends mixed messages when I take pictures.
One response to “Daybook: January 31st”
It is lovely that you are having some one to one bonding time with BB. It is hard when you have two kids to give them both equal attention. Love the snow.
