Yesterday I did a cute little re-cap of our summer and it really made me stand back and say WOW – our summer was huge – so much happened this summer that it truly blows my mind! Like moving 1,000 miles away from our friends and family, Dan starting a new job, having a new baby, getting a new car, etc. You know, little things. So, I’m curious…
What was the best part of your summer?
What was the worst part?
What are you most looking forward to this fall?

The best part of my summer was our very first family vacation to Myrtle Beach!! Yes- it was a LONG drive, Yes- we had some minor toddler melt downs, Yes- we hit some major NYC traffic on the home but all in all I would totally do it again. We had the best time seeing my aunt and uncle, seeing the sites down south, going to a wonderful little zoo, going to the ocean (which btw was a total flop- Mr J hated it immensely) and swimming in the community pool in my aunt’s gated community (which BTW Mr J loved to death.) I hated to leave our lovely little paradise and return home.
The worst part I think was the wacky weather and failing to find a job for myself time after time after time. It’s like being a mother with a toddler is a stigma or something and people just don’t want you to care for their kids when you are a mom who wants their kid with them at the same time.
This fall I am most looking forward to finding some way to make money, going to a pumpkin patch with a hopefully walking Mr J and as always my aunt’s Harvest Party in Oct. (which is a fun day of eating, laughing, pumpkin decorating and being with family.) I am also having loads of fun at this little pottery painting place I found just down the street a ways…it’s a nice way for me to kick back, relax and make some Christmas gifts for the family.

Summer – too hot in TX. We couldn’t play outside and I missed out. That’s what I’m looking forward to most in the fall……..playing outdoors with my little one and finally enjoying the playhouse we got her for her summer month birthday! 🙂

Since I’m not much of a Summer gal I don’t really have a favorite part. I did not like the heat or the morning sickness I suffered. The best part about Fall is finally giving birth! Yeah!

The best thing this summer was our 3 week trip to Hawaii! Looking forward to Fall and our annual trip to Lake Superior. And seems there really wasn’t anything bad that happened this summer so I’d call it a winner!
Have a great weekend!

My summer was great. We moved, into a house. A real house, not our trailer that we’d been in for so many years it was falling apart, not an apartment, a house, with two rooms that we all helped build onto it. It’s now a 5 bedroom home that is beautiful!
The worst part? Wow… Umm…. Not getting my daughter into school until this past week due to school district drama. Thankfully I have all the documents now and she’s enrolled into her new school district, new school and starting over a new life for high school!
This fall I am looking forward to a year with my boyfriend, hopefully being engaged sometime during that year. I want to go see a football game, REAL NFL game, I can’t wait to see my best friend in 14 days… it’ll be like being a kid again!

What was the best part of your summer? All of the time I got to spend with my daughter. We were all over the place visiting family since I haven’t been working.
What was the worst part? My little mental health breakdown 😦
What are you most looking forward to this fall? The colors, the smells, busting out my warm weather clothes, the cider mill and Thanksgiving.

@ Andrea P : I reaaaally want to go camping. Dan loves it and I’ve only been once in college. We’re hoping to go next summer when it’s warmer at night for the baby.
Our summer here was kind of crazy, too, though mostly more hot than cold in my opinion.

No matter how bad of a mother it makes me, I am most looking forward to and enjoying the back to school days. Cayleigh is in school full time now, and Gabs goes to daycare two days a week. It’s heaven to have a break and to be able to focus on being me and being an employee.
I’m also looking forward to the leaf changes. They are coming soon and in this town they are the most beautiful then I’ve ever seen. The streets are lined with vibrant colors when the season change begins and it’s outstanding.
The best part of my summer was learning that I do enjoy camping, and finding a great camping spot to go each time. A place that is cheap and close to the water.
The worst part of the summer was the eratic weather, Mother Nature didn’t know if she wanted it to be hot or cold. And the fact that my dad’s pool broke so we barely swam.
