So I just finished watching the first episode of The Good Wife – a new show on CBS about a woman named Alicia Florrick (played by Julianna Margulies) who returns to work as an attorney after her scum bag husband (played by my favorite scum bag, Chris North) is involved in very public sex and political corruption scandal that lands him in jail. Now, if that were me, the show would be about her going to jail for you know, losing her shit. But this about The Good Wife, who publicly sticks by him, goes back to work and tries to pick up the pieces of her life basically.
So when I originally set this to record on my DVR it was for pretty much one reason, um, Chris North. Because I didn’t realize that Grams from Dawsons Creek would be on the show as Chris North’s mother or that Matt Czuchry (you know Rory’s boy toy, Logan) would be her rival at the office – oh and there’s also Christine Baranski who plays her not so friendly mentor – she’s been in everything, seriously. All of this? Exciting enough. But not the reason I’m writing this.
No, I’m writing this from one Don’t Tell Mom, The Baby Sitter’s Dead fan to hopefully another. Someone? Anyone? If you loved that movie then you NEED to know that Bryan, or Josh Charles is in this, too, in what I’m predicting will be the main character, Alicia’s new love interest in episodes to come? Is it sad that I immediately recognized him and was all, “Oh my god it’s Bryan!!!” I’m gonna go with, probably, but whatever. I officially am hooked on this show, possibly, maybe, only for that reason.

I knew when I saw that episode that that guy looked familiar, but I couldn’t place him. I had totally forgotten about “Don’t Tell Mom..” ! Thanks for the memories! 🙂

Yay!! Josh Charles!! I vaguely remember crushing on him after watching Dead Poet’s Society. I’ll have to check out this show.

Then, tonight… Busy is on Cougar Town (although I didn’t watch to much of that…)
But, I will admit, I was laughing SO LOUD during Modern Family!

I loved Josh Charles as Knox in “Dead Poets Society” and he was great again in “Don’t Tell Mom.” He might be what gets me to watch the new show too. 🙂
