The crochet patterns I’m actually making

A couple weeks ago I shared a list of crochet patterns I’d like to make this fall. Today I thought I’d share some of the projects I’m actually working on. Much like my reading life, I usually have several crochet projects happening at once.

Right now I have three main WIPs in progress:

Sakura market tote by K.A.M.E. Crochet – This is actually the second one I’ve made now. I gifted the first to my MIL and loved it so much I started one for myself. I’m nearly done with it – technically I am done but I am working on creating a little pocket to go inside it that could hold a wallet or phone. I’m all about bags with pockets and I think I can make it work. I love the beautiful mandala design on the bottom of this bag – it was easier to make than I thought it would be so if it looks intimidating, give it a try.

The Lola pullover by Kiks + Jack Crochet – I shared this one in my last post and decided to just go for it. I was already planning on making a pullover, I had the yarn I wanted and was looking at simpler designs and then I thought -why? Why not make the sweater I really want even if it’s a little harder and maybe takes a little longer? I think it will be worth it in the long run and so far I’ve been pretty pleased with the pattern. You can see the ribbing above and I’ve started work on the back panel and the stitch pattern is again, easier than I thought it would be. I love how Kiks and Jack make their patterns to be completely size inclusive, showing you how to measure and do the math for each segment to get a garment that fits your unique body.

A chaotic good blanket designed by me and inspired by Make It With Megan. Chaos blankets are apparently trending right now and as a D&D player this concept really appealed to me. I decided to use my D&D dice and roll a different dice for the color, stitch, and number of rows.

I’m using some skeins of Big Twist yarn because I have a lot of them. This might turn into several blankets – I’m picturing Christmas morning and everybody gets a cozy lap blanket, a new book, a mug of cocoa.
