Last night we finished our Halloween celebration with a trip to the local mall for trick or treating. Dan and I armed ourselves with some coffee and walked around to different stores where they were handing out candy to the kids.
It got really crowded and we bailed a bit early when the lines got ridiculous (we really just don’t have the patience for lines apparently). I don’t think we’ll do the mall thing again next year, honestly once those lines get long (like 5 minutes into the event) it just starts to feel weird – like why are we all standing in a huge line begging for tootsie rolls? Isn’t this weird? There’s a Godiva Chocolates like right next door…
But MM got a decent amount of candy (for a three year old), we all stayed warm and had fun, so I guess that’s all that matters. Here are some pictures Dan took at the mall:

I have to boast that the boys got very few tootsie rolls compared to chocolate bars..were talking like 5 to a gazillion. Which makes for a perfect Halloween in my book. My secret chocolate stash has been replenished.

Now whilst I should be commenting over the adorableness of MM’s costume (soooo adorable!!) or the fact that Blue looks so big (SO BIG!) the thing that stood out to me more than anything?
