I know I’ve been missing in action for a couple days (sorry about that, life has been catching up with me). To add insult to injury, rather than writing some awesome post of true value and keen insight, instead I’m just going to fill out this quick meme that I stole from Nancy @ Life With My Boys…
(A) Accent: I’m kind of void of accent, I think. I’ve moved so much during my life that I kind of just ended up with a mix of everything, the result being that I never really sound like I belong in the state I’m living in.
(B) Breast size: my aren’t we getting personal! Um, I believe it’s a 38 or 40 C – it changed when I started nursing and who knows what it will be when she weans!
(C) Chore you hate: cleaning dirty diapers, cleaning the bathroom, getting out stains…
(D) Dad’s name: David
(E) Essential make-up item: soap and water
(F) Favorite perfume: I don’t wear perfumes – just a scented body wash. I like to change up the scents frequently but vanilla or something similar is usually a favorite. I like to smell like I’ve been baking!
(G) Gold or silver: I usually prefer silver.
(H) Hometown: I’m never really sure how to answer this – is it the state I was born, where I spent most of my childhood or where I’m currently living?
(I) Insomnia: not really, I do have a hard time falling asleep, but I don’t know that I’d classify it as full blown insomnia and it’s not something that comes in phases – I have a hard time falling asleep every night and have since I was a teenager.
(J) Job title: president of child rearing, blog reading and home management
(K) Kids: MM (almost four) and BB (almost 8 months)
(L) Living arrangements: 3 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor
(M) Mum’s birthplace: I’m going to assume it was in Massachusetts but to be honest, I don’t know for sure.
(N) Number of apples you’ve eaten: Today? Ever? You think I count my apples? This is one bizarre survey.
(O) Overnight hospital stays: Just when the kids were born.
(P) Phobia: Nothing clinical. I am afraid of killing bugs (like worried that all their brethren will come after me or they’ll morph into 6 foot tall bugs and eat me and also I’m [mostly] joking) and of course things like death of my family or self and a fear of abandonment (gee, I wonder where I got that from…) actually I’m kind of messed up…
(Q) Quest: To be the world’s coolest grandmother. I learned from the best. Granted, that’s a ways off so in the meantime, I’ll just focus on traveling as much as possible and not screwing up my kids too badly. Also, can I have a house please?
(R) Religious affiliation: nonpracticing Unitarian Universalist / see also: Jaded
(S) Siblings: a swarm of half siblings whom I haven’t officially met
(T) Time you wake up: sometime between 6:00 and 7:30 depending on the baby and our plans for the morning
(U) Unnatural hair colors you’ve worn: black, every shade of red imaginable and pink
(V) Vegetable you refuse to eat: no peas please
Worst habit: dwelling on things I shouldn’t
(X) X-rays you’ve had: do ultrasounds count? Otherwise just dental
(Y) Yummy foods you make: cookies, cakes, pies, delicious pescetarian family dinners like penne a la betsy (tonight’s dinner), black bean and tomato quesadillas, french onion soup, sweet potato burritos or creamy tomato basil soup

What about z? Maybe something about a zipper incident?

Good to know that you’re still around. Was pretty sure that your two sweet kiddos were keeping you buys.
Interesting questionnaire.

I’m so glad you have the same question about hometown. I’m always confused on that one and usually answer both or “originally from Oklahoma but now live in Texas” though that’s not going to be a problem any more since I’m now back living in my hometown. Thank goodness I never have to stress on that question ever again. LOL!
