You know when you have one of those moments of Parenting Genius? I had one this morning at breakfast. MM had finished eating and was clearly in need of something to do. Not wanting to sit him in front of the boob tube just yet, I told him that he needed to check under all of the chairs and tables to make sure there were no monsters in the apartment – and to please wear a hat so that he’d be protected from any monsters he might find.

Dan laughed but MM totally went for it and began checking underneath all the chairs and tables quite diligently – and of course Dan had to get in on the action and unleashed an “attack of the tickle monster” when MM followed him into the kitchen.

Sadly, it appears his Monster Repellent Hat is malfunctioning.
