1. Do you plan to be at the beach this summer? I hope to be at the beach tomorrow, weather permitting2. Do you have a favorite beach? Not really – I was born in California so I think I have overly high expectations of what a beach should be. Now living in New England, the coastal beaches here are always crowded and never warm enough for me; and the inland lake and pond beaches usually feel like a bit of a compromise – I think I am yet to find that perfect beach, but we’re young so that’s okay. I still like going even if they aren’t quite up to my vision of a stellar beach.

3. How old were you on your first beach trip? I have no idea, but I can remember going when I was fairly young, with my dad and a friend – I can’t remember his friend at all, i.e. who he was, but I remember he was the first person who taught me how to “jump over the waves” still my favorite thing to do at a good beach.

4. Did your folks own or rent a cottage at the beach? No, we never had that kind of money or that much of an interest in beaches – but my father’s wife’s family has a beach house that I’ve gone to a couple of times. It’s not bad (for a typically New England cold and crowded beach area)

5. Have you or would you bring your kids to the same beaches you went to as a kid? Sure – one of the State Parks with a beach that I frequented the most as a kid, we brought MLM to last summer and will likely go again.

6. What type of bathing suit do you wear at the beach? One that covers as much as humanly possible! haha

7. Do you have favorite food you like to eat at the shore? There is some stellar pizza at the beach house I mentioned earlier – it is one of the few things that makes me love going there. I can practically taste the salty air in the pizza sauce… and I mean that as a good thing… yum.

8. Do you have a favorite drink you like at the shore? No, something refreshing but not too messy?

9. When is the next time you will be beach bound? Like I said, hopefully tomorrow. We want to check out another one of those inland state park kinda beaches.
