Astonishment, apprehension, and even horror, oppressed her. She wished to discred it entirely, repeatedly exclaiming, “This must be false! This cannot be!   1. @ Jen : I know what you mean – so far Pride and Prejudice is kind of um… gossipy headache like – but I think that’s what she’s going for – you know, making her point about society. So I’m hoping it gets good soon… (I’ve only read 3 or 4 chapters). I really want to read Jane Eyre at some point so I’m glad to hear you are liking it!

  2. I haven’t read the book yet, but I LOVED the movie (Colin Firth version). I’m finally getting int Jane Eyre. It took me to about pg 200 for it to click and now I’m loving it!
