Today…
Outside my window: It’s warm and sunny – a perfect summer day. We’re keeping it a little warmer in the apartment by having the screen door open to let in the slight breeze instead of using the AC.
Last weekend we: had some friends over for a little “drive in movie at home” inspired by this post at ohdeedoh. The kids watched Shrek the Third and the grown ups played Apples to Apples – I haven’t played in such a long time, it was awesome.
We also: went to a local fair, the playground and did a little yard sale-ing where we scored this cute fisher price farm “doll house” for only $1 – it’s become an instant hit at home with the kids!
I just finished reading: Eating for Beginners by Melanie Rehak – check out my review here – and make sure you enter to win a copy at my Review Blog, too! Last night I started reading American on Purpose by Craig Ferguson which I predict will be fantastic. Does anybody else watch his talk show? Love him.
We’re looking forward to: the house inspection today and another meeting with the bank. Not that those are super fun things, but they are major steps towards actually buying this house so keep those fingers crossed! This weekend we do have a company picnic and a bbq with friends to look forward to also. :0)
In The Kitchen: The menu is tentative this week as I am challenging myself to a week without recipes… but more on that later…
- Monday: Shrimp Salad with Cucumbers, Feta Cheese and Blueberries
- Tuesday: Spaghetti
- Wednesday: Grilled Cheese
- Thursday: Quesadillas
- Friday: Mexican Rice Bowls

One last thing I want to tell you about before I go: I got nothing – sorry for the random two day late daybook, I know you all noticed and were worried, right? Here’s another cute picture of the baby for good measure.

I was concerned for your well being…being two days late. Still crossing fingers for you on the house.
Do have one little question for ya…has Frontierville snared you into it’s little trap that is called addiction? Just curious. 🙂
