So last weekend I discovered instagr.am much the same way that Columbus discovered America. It’s not like it wasn’t there and populated already (I’m sure the Native Americans were all, “Way to show up to the party seriously late, dude. Everyone knows about America already. Also, this isn’t India.”) but now that I’ve found it, I’m pretty sure nothing will ever be the same. I haven’t picked up my actual camera all week because the novelty of taking cell phone snapshots and then running filters over the pictures and telling myself they are artsy is still so fresh and new. Here are some of my favorite shots from this week:
I told you about my little early Mother’s Day present from MM a few days ago. He has been showing me the love all week in little ways and I’m not complaining. I’m looking forward to seeing what he and Dan have cooked up for me this weekend but already I’m feeling pretty spoiled and loved. :O)
We bought little solar path lights for our front walkway up to the house. Our house is seriously poorly lit at night but little by little we’re getting there.
On a morning walk with BB I spotted this mailbox and had to stop and take a picture. I love everything about it – the style, the numbers, the beautiful planter garden beneath it. I emailed a copy of this to my husband saying basically, “Make me one.” lol We’ll see if that happens!
Flowers from the same walk.
BB looking out the giant circular windows at our Target’s Starbucks cafe while mommy finished her skinny vanilla latte.
Just me. I’m kind of digging this little self portrait right now so I’m using it literally everywhere that needs a picture of my face.
BB using the sit and spin at her Y class yesterday. Every week she deems one toy “her precious” and despite my best efforts throws a major tantrum whenever another kid goes anywhere near it. This week it was the sit and spin. And there were three of them but this specific one was apparently made just for her and I didn’t know it.
My handsome boy, walking home from the bus stop. His outfit (which he picked out himself) was so cute, I had to make him stop for a picture.
Breakfast this morning. Riveting, no?
My most recent Mother’s Day present from MM, he made this for me at school and I am kind of in love with it.
Swinging at the playground this afternoon – the weather is so gorgeous today with just enough of a warm breeze to keep it from being too hot.
So, how was your week?
