Obsessing over: planning an overnight trip to Boston with the hubby next month. The kids are going to Storyland in NH with my in-laws while we’re in town visiting and we thought we’d take the opportunity for a romantic getaway – just the two of us. I know, crazy, right? I found a nice hotel in the heart of Bean Town and I’ve been looking up places in the area to check out while we’re there. Any suggestions?

Feeling: proud of myself for losing two more pounds on my diet this week! I honestly didn’t think I was going to lose anything this week but I guess I was doing better than I gave myself credit for. And losses like this give me such great momentum to make good decisions each day. :O)

Working on: adding more walking and yoga to my workout routines. After two workouts with EA Active 2, I’ve decided to bail on it for the time being – I think I was maybe working out harder than the game intended me to, but I injured myself both times and my neck and shoulders are just starting to feel a bit better. So for now I’m focusing on yoga and walking – two of my favorite workouts anyway.

Thinking about: what a nice morning BB and I had today. We went for a walk at the zoo with friends and the weather was beautiful, the company was fabulous and BB was in fairly good spirits despite being a bit tired after waking up in the middle of the night.

Reading: The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman – this month’s book club pick is pretty long so I started it right away. I’m about 20% done with three weeks to go, so I’m probably in good shape to finish on time. I’m enjoying it so far especially all of the historical references thrown in.

Anticipating: the end of MM’s first school year! Next Tuesday is his kindergarten graduation and I’m so proud of him and excited to see him “graduate” – Dan took a half day so he can come see the ceremony, too. :O)

Listening to: the sound of two kiddos playing in the next room. BB’s nap was awfully short this afternoon – big brother coming home earlier on Monday’s always throws off her routine. We’ll see if summer helps or makes it worse!

Drinking: a glass of water of course! Is it sad that I often grab a glass of water before writing these posts just so I can say I’m having water? haha – whatever works, right?

Wishing: the weather could be this beautiful every day, though I know I’d get bored of “perfect” after awhile. :O)

Pinning (The Summer Edition):

nature scavenger hunt * red white and blue pancakes * perfect one piece swimsuit for hiding a tummy * banana “ice cream” – one ingredient, guess which one
