From my family to yours…
It’s Thanksgiving today which for many people means enjoying a turkey feast with friends and family and thinking about all the things we have to be thankful for. With no family in the area to speak of, we’re opting to skip the cooking and enjoy a dinner out today and be thankful that nobody has to do the dishes!
I briefly considered that it might be more appropriate to celebrate the day by crashing somebody else’s dinner and yelling at them about b.b. guns and corn but then decide to stay and enjoy their food until eventually they kick us out of our homes and convince us that we really want to run a casino.
But that seems like way too much work for someone who would go out of their way to avoid doing dishes. (My husband is probably shaking his head at me in contempt as he reads this – hi honey, love you!)
Whether you are gobbling up turkey, or tofurkey or pumpkin pie or going to see a movie with the fam or perhaps working a Black Friday on Thursday shift – or laughing at us silly Americans from somewhere far away while going about your normal Thursday routine – I hope you have an amazing day.
I’m thankful for every one of you that takes three minutes out of your day to read something I’ve written, no matter how trivial or blasphemous. You guys rock.

Our Thanksgiving was super low key. I feel guilty when people asked how it was because we didn’t really “celebrate” in the normal sense. 🙂
