Today is my blog’s first birthday!  To begin my celebration of mommablogsalot.com turning one years old, I first thought it appropriate to send a birthday card to myself. But then I couldn’t choose – so I am sending myself five birthday cards, just because I can. And by send, I mean I’m going to post them here. First off, I’d like to formally invite myself to my blog’s birthday party – otherwise I might not show up and that would be embarrassing.

Why thank you self – I’d love to come to my blog’s birthday party! Did you know, blog, that you share the same birthday as American singer / songwriter Neil Sedaka, Kathy Hilton (mother of Paris and Nikki) and Bloodhound Gang member Spanky G?

So I mentioned that I tried getting more birthday cake out of my blog’s birthday. Dan wasn’t quite as accommodating – if only I hadn’t remembered my own birthday a week ago it might have worked, but I guess a 7 day period was just too soon. I might have to actually wait until my next real birthday before I can ask for my own birthday cake again. Thank god for other people’s birthdays.

In the meantime, I got my blog this:

It just seemed fitting.

Now that I’ve had cake and opened some cards and given you some fun facts, I thought I’d get my blog some birthday presents. I’m pretty sure my blog has mentioned that it’s always wanted it’s very own bling so I got it the following:

I know I’m very generous. So I’m not going to beg you guys for like 1,000 comments or anything. I’m very excited to have been blogging for a year, but that’s been done already. I’m not going to give anything away, although it would be fun, I really can’t afford to do anything like that and again it’s been done. I’m just going to end this with my last birthday card to my blog, and then I’ll go change my son’s poopy diaper and watch Thomas with him.

Thanks for all the blogiversary wishes I’ve gotten already! Sue @ My Musings sent me this really sweet e-card that MM was over the moon for. He had a blast watching it and kept asking to watch it again and again. 🙂 Remember if you want to send my blog a birthday card, just send it to mommablogsalot (at) gmail (dot) com. My very sweet besties over @ Momma’s Review just posted this adorable little “Blogiversary Card” for me – how sweet are they? Now I’m feeling all lazy for not photoshopping something for my blog, too. You don’t think it will hold that against me do you?
