Obsessing over: the toys taking over our toy room, living room and the kids’ rooms. I don’t even know if I can say that it’s too many toys so much as my not being happy with how they are currently being stored. I’ve been trying different methods and haven’t found the one yet, partly because their toy collections evolve faster than I can keep up with. I have a few new ideas kicking around, I’ll let you know if they help.
Feeling: exhausted. I’ve been apple frittered. That’s what I’m calling it now. I’m still waiting for the coffee to kick in and for me to start feeling awesome and in charge of my destiny and energetic and fabulous. Still waiting…
Working on: um… nothing? That can’t be true. I’ve been working on the blog design about – check out the dandy new Easter header up there! (RSS readers, that means clicking over) Lately I’ve just been living in Spring Break World where nothing feels like it’s getting done and I’m tired a lot. But today’s the last day of Spring Break (woohoo!) and I think MM and I are both glad for it. That’s normal, right?
Thinking about: the nice weekend we had. It was so nice having my dd in town visiting. He had a blast with the kids – and even let Dan and I go on a much needed date night to see The Hunger Games on Friday night. It was awesome by the way – one of the better book to movie adaptations I’ve seen in awhile.
Reading: I just finished Seriously… I’m Kidding by Ellen Degeneres last night. It was very good – very funny. Possibly her best book to date. So I’ll be starting our next book club pick, Let the Great World Spin tonight. It’s all about New York in August 1974, when a mysterious tightrope walker is running, dancing, leaping between the twin towers…
Anticipating: MM’s Star Wars birthday party this weekend and of course other fun things in the more distant future. I need to start actually preparing everything for his party soon. I’ve done all the brain storming though and gotten most of the supplies we’ll need, now I just need to pull it all together and make it happen!
Listening to: MM work on some Spring Break homework in the next room. He’s getting so smart, it kinda blows me mind how much he’s learned this year!
Drinking: the rest of my cafe mocha and also a glass of water. Does that cancel out the calories in the coffee?
Why do I like this picture so much?
Wishing: That naptime could last several thousand hours. I need to catch up to the rest of the world on sleep and cleaning and personal getting stuff done accomplishments. And Words With Friends.
