What I’m Into Lately: April 15, 2013

I am not into the snow that I woke up to Sunday morning (even if there was only about a millimeter of it). Or the runny noses and head colds that my children are battling. I am super into an excuse to stay home in my jammies today though.

What I’m reading: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. My book club will be discussing this book at the end of the month. I’m about halfway through and kind of madly in love with it. Despite being a book about teenagers with cancer (and crap lungs, missing limbs and blindness and stuff) it’s also terrifically snarky and clever and very well written. I highly recommend it (so far).

TV show worth watching: So who else is loving this season of Doctor Who so far? I’m not always a big fan of change when it comes to the Doctor and his companions but I really love Clara and the first few episodes have been really great.
Movie I’ve Seen: No new movies lately to be honest. We’ve been watching old episodes of Dr Who with the kids and we watched Snow White over the weekend.
In my ears:  Can I just say that when you are listening to Rebecca Loebe do a cover of Bad Reputation in the car and your 7 year old says, “can you turn the volume up, mom, I love this song” – it’s a proud moment.
Items of Note: eh things are a tad on the boring side here right now, plenty of exciting stuff coming in the future though. Dan got a new phone this weekend (finally, he’s been biding his time) and we took MM shopping with his birthday money. He’s the proud owner of a Batman fedora and watch, some awesome new books, a Simpsons comic book and a few fun new toys & games. The kid definitely made out like a bandit this year. :O)
What I’m Looking Forward to:  um, obviously, the Rebecca Loebe show I’m hosting this month. If you are in the area and free on the 20th, definitely get in touch with me for details on that!

what are you into these days? Let me know in the comments below!
