I’ve found myself with less and less reading time lately so I’m reluctant to take on any big reading goals this year. Though I’ve tentatively told goodreads.com that I’m hoping to read 30 books this year, I’ll be happy enough to read two books a month. I was thinking that maybe one of those books could line up with Anne’s nifty 2015 Reading Challenge.
Here’s the deal:
read 12 books in 12 different categories in 12 months. It’s simple and doable. But it provides the structure you need to approach your reading list with intention in 2015.
The 12 categories are practical and flexible. They’ll bend to fit your TBR list, but they’ll also challenge you to explore new territory, revisit old favorites, and finally read those books you’ve been putting off for years.
Want to play along? Track the books you’re reading. Anne is using a paper reading journal for the first time in years, but she’ll still update at Goodreads and she’s using a Pinterest Board for the challenge as well.
I’m working on finishing up The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane for my book club, but after that I’ll be thinking about which category to tackle first.

I like the different aspect of this one other than just choosing random books or by number.

I signed up on Goodreads to read 52 books this year. If that means my house has dust bunnies, and we eat frozen meals several nights a week, so be it. 😉 Seriously, I discovered last year that reading helps me stay sane, so I TRY to get at least 15 minutes of reading in every night before bed, and I carry a book with me everywhere I go just in case I can steal a few quite minutes to read. Right now, I’m reading Jennifer Chiaverini’s Elm Creek Quilts series.
