This was the “friends” party with all his little buddies. We gave him Madagascar for his birthday this year and I made a ‘Madagascar’ themed cake using those little miniature zoo animals that you can buy at Target for like $2.00 for a pack of 20 animals or something like that. I was actually very impressed with how the cake came out – my best cake effort by far – all I have to say is chocolate cake and chocolate frosting are nearly impossible to mess up – and that colored sugar is my new favorite decorating tool. And this post is officially the opposite of wordless. Sorry.

You’re right — chocolate cake is difficult to mess up, since it’s yummy in any form, whether raw, half done or perfectly baked.
