high five for friday: march 15, 2013

I have to say, this has been kind of a long week. Not bad per say, just long and busy. Momma is sorely looking forward to the weekend. But before we jump off into another beautiful weekend, let’s take a moment to focus on the positive, awesome things from the week about to draw to a close.

  1. After freaking out a bit about the upcoming demise of Google Reader, I managed to find a replacement (rather quickly) that I’m pretty happy with. Anyone else using feedly? I’m kind of loving it. You can read my full review of feedly here. It has a lot of the features from google reader that I’ve come to consider necessary and a few new fun features that I’m kind of digging. <— happy momma
  2. Last night I got to get away from the fam for a few hours for game night with some awesome ladies from my women’s group. We were having so much fun talking and catching up that we found ourselves neglecting the game we were playing a lot, but I don’t think any of us minded one bit! It was nice to feel human for a few hours and not just cleaner of the pee and poop and changer of the channels.
  3. Lemon tart. Need I say more, really?
  4. This post at Fried Okra made me very happy. Don’t get me wrong, I think we’re all guilty of spending a bit too much time with our techy devices, but at the same time, I think we use them for a lot more good than we give ourselves credit for. Less guilt, mommas!
  5. Lastly….

This. This is still making me giggle days later.

I’m linking up with From My Grey Desk – wanna play along?

  1. Lemon tart?? I need that! I will be checking out Feedly…everyone’s talk has peaked my interest (even oh ouch I don’t even use Google Reader to use blogs so I’m not sure why I care, lol!) thanks for stopping by my blog!

  2. Hey lady – thanks for the head’s up on the Feedly tip! I’ve been a bit behind on the whole “what’s going on in the Internet world lately” so when I saw that Google Reader was shutting down, I panicked a little bit! I signed up and am liking it so far! Hope your family is doing well!

  3. I grabbed feedly, but I want to see everything at a glance.

And, that iphone post, just read it today. I thought about linking her up to my post about feeding our babies (however we do it) and high-fiving each other for it.
